TFR, Terrain Following Radar

This Radar is not a search sensor. It is used by aircraft flying over land at extremely low altitudes to detect the height and contour of the terrain. It assists pilots flying in these extreme conditions especially in poor visibility to avoid crashing into terrain features. It is also referred to as Terrain Avoidance Radar in some sources
