High Explosive (HE) Blast / Frag

High Explosive (HE) munitions utilize an explosive charge to destroy their target. High Explosive munitions often throw fragments of metal into the air, causing damage to lightly or unarmed infantry, aircraft, and vehicles. Armored tanks are designed to absorb explosive impacts and reflect shrapnel. Aircraft however, tend to be vulnerable against HE. One of the most common high explosive anti-aircraft weapons is the AIM-9 Sidewinder.
