Radar, Air Search, 2D

This type of sensor searches for air contacts. The radar being 2D means that this radar cannot determine the altitude of a contact. For this reason it is usually paired up with a height finder radar. Example would be the Flat Face 2D search radar being paired up with the Side Net height finder for early Soviet SA-3 SAM sites.
