Anti-Submarine Warfare encompasses all tactics designed to detect, engage and destroy submarines. This mission appeared in World War I, then became vital during World War II, and was a prime concern for Western nations during the Cold War. Anti-Submarine Warfare can be executed by ships, helicopters and aircrafts and also submarines. Modern tactics are mixing all these platforms for better efficiency.
